The Restoration Place NC

The Restoration Place is a non-denominational church in Durham, NC, led by Pastors E and Niki Ellington. Known for its “Radical Love” message and community-outreach projects such as the Red Bag Initiative and Caring House at Duke, the ministry needed a web presence that matched its vibrant, tech-forward culture.

The Challenge

The church’s previous site was a patchwork of static pages that loaded slowly on phones, hid livestream and giving links below the fold, and forced visitors to call or DM for event details. As a result, online engagement lagged and staff spent hours each week fielding repetitive questions.

The Solution

We executed a full redesign on our Duda cloud platform: a mobile-first home page that greets three audiences—Guests, Members, and Donors—followed by a sticky header with instant “Watch Live” and “Give” buttons. We added an events calendar that staff can update in minutes, integrated Cash App and Givelify for one-tap giving, and built HIPAA-ready prayer-request and membership forms under WCAG 2.2 guidelines.

The Results

Within eight weeks the new site cut mobile load time to 1.8 seconds, doubled average monthly visitors, captured 110 online prayer requests, and boosted recurring digital giving by 38 percent—giving The Restoration Place a digital front door as welcoming and high-energy as its in-person worship.
